Tasting Notes: This is now the fourth vintage of Sauvignon Blanc from this young vineyard block. The wine remains beautifully crisp as with each of the previous vintages and offers beautiful Washington Sauvignon Blanc character. The beautifully crisp nose of this wine shows lots of fresh citrus that borders on florality. Tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, and a whisper of lemon custard, smoothly transition into tropical notes of mango and papaya. A vibrant palate really brings this wine to life with citrus that abounds. Sweet grapefruit, moves into hints of fresh limes and Satsuma tangerines. Honeydew and Crenshaw melon flavors along with star fruit add to the mid-palate. The lively acids on the finish are accompanied by hints of Asian pear. This is another great wine for light seafood fare. Pan seared halibut, crab legs, or crab cakes with a spicy aioli would be great accompaniments with the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc.
